It's always good to get a good night's rest, drink plenty of water, and prepare Yourself mentally. Also, it's sometimes good to take in some Vitamins, eat really well, and get some sugar in You before Your tattoo. A lot of us don't think about the actual effect Tattooing has on Your body, we just think of the Art aspect of it, but Your body does take a beating from a Tattoo, physically and mentally especially for the more detailed and longer sessions. So being prepared will definitely make it easier to a certain point.
The studio has some drinks and snacks to offer You but it's always smart to bring some things You like to eat or drink, bring headphones if You'd like to zone out, books or whatever else You might need in order to keep Yourself feeling alright through the session.
It's always smart to consider what to wear before coming in so that it will make Your and the Artists life more easier. There is complicated areas to reach especially trying not to expose You any more than necessary so it would be good to reach out to Your Artist before the appointment and discuss that with her or him.
